WHAT IS GIRLGUIDING?

We provide a unique girl-only space …. and have done so for 100 years!

Girlguiding Gloucestershire is part of the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts, an international organisation for girls and women of all ages.
The organisation’s aim is to help girls and young women develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.
The varied programme of activities is based around the Five Essentials of Guiding:  
Guides work together in small groups  
Guides are encouraged to govern themselves and make their own decisions  
Guides have a balanced and varied programme  
Guides care for the individual  
Guides share a commitment to a common standard   
Whatever your interests or talents there is something in Guiding for YOU!
