TREFOIL GUILD CENTENARY LAUNCH

The Gloucestershire County Trefoil Guilds are holding their annual "County Day" at Deer Park, Cowley, on Saturday 5th September. As this coincides with the Centenary Launch, the day will end with a celebration tea and any adults connected with Girlguiding UK are welcome to join us for tea at 3.00pm. A donation towards the tea would be appreciated on the day. If you would like to come, please let me have your name and contact e-mail address or telephone number before the end of July

STORY GATHERING

As we approach the start of our Centenary year I will be circulating round the County gathering Stories from anyone who would like to talk with me about their experiences. This can be anyone from a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide to our more mature ladies in the Movement.

Some of the material I gather will be sent up to CHQ for it to be put on their website, others will just be for our own Archives within the County.

The County has purchased sophisticated digital recording equipment which will be used, and then a CD can be produced for the person to keep. The machine can also be used if Units would like to record and special Audio projects. (See September's Guiding Magazine).

I would be grateful if you could all think of suitable people to be interviewed and let me know either by telephone or email. I can’t do this alone so do need a lot of help.
